This is where Jens Christian Lindgaard and family lived from 1843 untill his death in 1899. Originally, Jens Christian had purchased a house on the other side of the street (on the seaside, a bit to the east), however that house burned in the big city fire in 1842 when aprroximately 300 houses burned and 3000 people were houseless as a result. Many of the house owners built new houses on new properties according to a new city plan. Jens Christian Lindgaard was one of them.
